iPhone Battery Case – Update

After charging the case fully yesterday and unplugging it and putting a fully charged iPhone 4s into it at 3pm…. the phone is now showing 99% and no longer being charged.

Nearly 21 hours of a fully charged phone.

I’ve listened to about 4 hours of music.

I’ve had 3G and Wireless on all that time.

I’ve surfed the web, read my emails, updated blogs.

I’ve also watched perhaps 2 hours of iPlayer.

Hopefully my phone will happily eat up the 1080p video recording, the iMovie video editing  and 3G youtube video uploading with no issues. It might not be quick but it should work – I do also hope we have some free Wi-Fi we can steal so I can get good quality video uploaded. I get about 750mb from Voda which will easily get eaten up with a couple of videos.

🙂

Nearly there!

£1000 barrier smashed!

Very Kind people have now raised more than £1300 for the Brads Cancer Foundation via our ‘Just Giving’ page.

Keep digging deep people. Hopefully we’ll make it well past our £10,000 barrier.

On a related note, I leave for John O’Groats in exactly 1 week’s time.

Bring!

It!

On!

iPhone Battery Case Arrived

So the case arrived and is currently charging. Its a bit of a monster and really makes the iphone a BEAST!

In all it's glory!

Which are a lot of boring pictures, I know.

Something did make me laugh. It looks like the maker of this knew exactly why I was buying it – This is definately a sign.

A little message, just for me!

Help with Blogging – New Purchase!

I love buying ‘stuff’!

I’m planning on blogging on the trip via my iPhone4s. I’ve got wordpress installed as an App but I’m worried that the video/photos/uploading will really be a drain on the battery. Its not exactly the most generous of batteries anyway so if I’m filming 1080p video and then trying to upload to youtube/wordpress, well I think that’s asking a bit too much from my mighty iPhone!

I wanted to get a battery pack for the phone. People have very kindly said I can use their campers to charge it up of an evening but I am worried about filming/blogging on the trip. Not only do I want to make sure I can record everything, I want to be able to make and receive calls if needed.

I found this on amazon

and it looks just like I want it to. I don’t think the case looks too bad and as I have Amazon Prime it should be delivered tomorrow.

I’ll take some photos and let people know how I get on with it. It has some good reviews and it is also ‘fulfilled by amazon’ so I have a bit more faith in the product than some of the £8 ‘batteries’ which are on Amazon but have reviews like ‘melts!’ and stuff like that.

Will keep you guys informed.

Fix my moped …. LIKE A BOSS

Managed to get the moped started.

I’m the world’s greatest mechanic!

It certainly wasnt just out of petrol. Definitely not!

Turns out I am a helmet holder….

What a plum I am.

It’s a 4% oil mix on the moped.

That was a lucky escape!

Glad I checked and my Honda Camino brother on VZi told me the correct amount of oil!

Well….half way to finding out what the problem is.

I filled my Jerry can last night. That worked out as a tank of petrol for my car PLUS the jerry can for £100! Ouch!

This lunchtime I’ve got a litre of 2 Stroke oil.

I might be in position of knowing if it had just run out of petrol or maybe it will be something a little more serious. How much can actually go wrong on a moped! 😀

The JOGLE Trip….Nationally Famous Now!

I’ve not heard it myself but I’ve just had a message from a friend that Chris Evans (The Radio Disc Jockey, not the actor) mentioned our JOGLE4BRADS trip on his Radio 2 Breakfast show.

I’m at work so can’t confirm but I will try to ‘listen again’ later and see if I can hear it.

Hopefully it will help with our fundraising.

Non-starting bike

I’ve just peered in the petrol tank with my torch and I can’t see any petrol. The tank is at an angle (like / ) so you can’t see the bottom of the tank.

I have got a 20litre jerry can which I’ll get filled with petrol and 2stroke oil. Hopefully I’ll have the bike running this week.
